The Ohio Star Ball is the largest and most prestigious ballroom dance competition in the United States. The excitement of the Ohio Star Ball reverberates with everyone in the dance community, and here at Piper Glen Ballroom we were very honored to have three students compete in this amazing event.

And how magnificently they represented us in Ohio!

Lisa Spring and Brad Malestein competed with their respective instructors, Dimitrijus and Erica Sazinas, and in amateur events as a couple. Yulia Milova competed with Pasha Antanovich.

 

Brad placed Second in the Standard Silver Four Dance and Third in the Standard Gold and Above Five Dance with Erica.

Lisa placed in the top three in all of her Silver heats with Dimitrijus Sazinas.

Together Lisa and Brad mopped the floor with their competition, with First Places in all of their Open Gold heats and First Place in both of the Amateur Novice Gold Standard Two Dance Scholarships!!

Yulia placed Sixth in the Best of The Best - an amazing feat in the biggest dance comp in the US!

The holidays are upon us and you know what that means - dance, dance, dance! Carolina Ballroom is having their December dance with us at Piper Glen Ballroom on Saturday, December 5. A group class starts at 8 PM and the party starts at 9! Join us and get ready to dance the night away.

 

How about starting the party weekend early? Join us this Friday night! We will have Pro-Am dance demonstrations featuring Jenna Morcos and Silvia Hipple with our own Pasha Antanovich.

Also, to delight your dance senses, we give to you (drum roll, please)...Daniel and Nataly, who will perform one of their very caliente Latin numbers!
